Getting Started
The first step is to request funding from your school community. There are several options to consider including:
- School PTA/PTO or Booster Club
- Principal/School District
- Local Education Foundation
- Material Funds (might cover the kit portion of the registration fee!)
- Professional Development Funds (might cover the workshop portion of the registration fee!)
- Appropriate Title Funds or Gifted Education Funds
In addition to these resources, consider exploring some or all of the options listed below. Be sure to involve students and parents in your fundraising efforts!
Plan Fundraising Activities
Fundraising is a great way for your Botball team to raise money for your registration fee, travel expenses, game table, etc. It's also a great way for students to learn the value of hard work and commitment. Find Local Sponsors
There are many benefits in finding one or more local sponsors for your Botball team. These sponsors may donate money to your team, assist you in carrying out other fundraising efforts, and/or possibly serve as mentors for the team. Learn About Grant Opportunities

Apply for a Botball Scholarship
KISS Institute encourages teams to secure their own sources of funding. However, we do offer scholarships in limited amounts to assist teams that have attempted to raise the necessary funds. Read about the scholarship application process and access the online application here .
