Sponsors Fund Scholarships for Greater DC, Greater St. Louis and New York/New Jersey Regions!

Botball sponsors have made it possible for students in the Greater DC, Greater St. Louis, and New York/New Jersey Botball Regions to develop their natural instincts for design and engineering in the 2010 Botball Educational Robotics Program. Participating teams will design, build, program, document, and demonstrate a pair of original mobile robots to solve open-ended challenges in a high-energy tournament setting.

Greater DC Region Scholarship Recipients

After the initial review of applications for the Greater DC Region, scholarships sponsored by the Naval Research Laboratory and the NASA Robotics Alliance Project were awarded to the following Botball teams:

• Lockheed Martin Explorer Post 1010, Teams 1-3 - Gaithersburg, MD
• McLean High School - McLean, VA
• Poolesville High School - Poolesville, MD
• Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Teams 1-3 - Alexandria, VA

Greater St. Louis Scholarship Recipients

Scholarships sponsored by donors of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the NASA Robotics Alliance Project were awarded to the following Botball teams:

• Edwardsville High School - Edwardsville, IL
• De La Salle Middle School & Loyola Academy - St. Louis, MO
• St. Mary’s School - Edwardsville, IL
• Wolf Branch Middle School - Swansea IL
• Highland High School - Highland, IL
• Triad High School - Troy, IL

New York/New Jersey Scholarship Recipients

The NASA Robotics Alliance Project sponsored scholarships awarded to the following Botball teams in the New York / New Jeresey Region:

• MMI Preparatory School, Teams 1-3 - Freeland, PA
• Robbinsville High School - Robbinsville, NJ
• Regis High School - New York City, NY
