NCER Registration Information
Note: Online registration is now closed, but you can still register on site once NCER has begun.
This year we will be offering two options when registering for the National Conference on Educational Robotics. You can register for the Conference Package or register a la carte for individual conference activities. People who wish to ONLY view the tournament do not need to register.
Students who will be participating in the National Tournament are required to register for the Conference Package. The Conference Package costs $75 per person (for attendees registered before June 9, 2006) and includes the following:

A La Carte Registration (for people registered before 6/9/06) is as follows:

When registering for the National Conference on Educational Robotics (NCER) you will be asked to choose between the Conference Package or a la Carte. Here is a brief explanation of each of the a la carte items:
- Guest Speakers: The 2006 NCER will feature two keynote speakers who will speak on a specific topic (or topics) related to robotics.
- Conference Breakout Session Bundles: Conference attendees are encouraged to submit papers to be presented at one of the many conference breakout sessions. You can choose to attend 2, 4 or 6 sessions depending on the bundle you select.
- Closing Reception: The closing reception will occur immediately before the awards ceremony and will give conference attendees one more opportunity to network with one another. Snacks and beverages will be included.
- Robot Olympiad and Robot TV/Movie Trivia Contest: The Robot Olympiad has become an anticipated event at the National Conference. This year the Robot TV/Movie Trivia Contest will be added once again. Students, teachers and robot enthusiasts have the opportunity to “test” their knowledge of robotics and win prizes! The Robot Olympiad and the Robot TV/Movie Trivia Contest are paper and pencil tests covering robotics related topics.
- Robotics Showcase: Students, teachers and robot hobbyists submit entries for inclusion in the Robotics Showcase. The showcase is set up with a “science fair” feeling and gives attendees a chance to show off their autonomous, non-Botball robots.
- Conference Program: The conference program contains a complete listing and explanation of all events and speakers at the NCER. It includes a listing of all teams in attendance and a detailed schedule.
- Conference Proceedings: All papers and showcases presented at the NCER are included on a CD of Conference Proceedings.
Important Deadlines:
| June 9, 2006 | Early registration ends - all registrations received after 5 pm CST on 6/9/06 will be subject to a $10 late fee. ($5 late fee for all “a la carte” items) |
| June 16, 2006 | Conference program goes to print - teams registered after 5 pm CST on 6/16/06 cannot be included in our conference program |
| June 23, 2006 | Deadline for making refundable changes to your NCER registration - after 5 pm CST on 6/23/06 no refunds can be given for changes made to your NCER registration |
| June 30, 2006 | Last day for advanced registration - if you have not registered by 5 pm CST on 6/30/06 you must register onsite |
| July 6-7, 2006 | Onsite registration - Conference Package is $100 per person onsite (add $10 to each al a carte item added onsite) |
