About DonorsChoose.org
DonorsChoose is a not-for-profit website that allows teachers to submit proposals for classroom projects and materials. Companies and individual citizens can visit the website, review the proposals and select the projects of their choice that they wish to fund in whole or in part.
Who Can Apply?
The two criteria for submitting a proposal at DonorsChoose include:
- All requested resources must be used by students or directly provide a student experience.
- The proposal cannot foster discrimination or proselytize a religious or political viewpoint.
Resource(s) funded through DonorsChoose are considered “property of the classroom.” As long as you teach at the same school, you should have control over the resource(s) for which you received funding. If you change schools, the resource(s) must stay.
