KISS Institute for Practical Robotics is working hard to implement long-term plans to significantly reduce the cost of participation in Botball to our teams and generate enough revenue to keep developing technology and support for our organization.
One of the first steps in accomplishing this goal is to implement a reuse of select kit components for all returning teams in 2013 and provide incentives to teams that register and pay early. This is so we can increase the amount of paid registrations in the early Fall.
Registration Fee Discounts and Dates
Any team that is registered and paid by October 1, 2012 will receive special incentives.
Those include early access to the Team Home Base and (3) one-hour, online-tutorials and standards aligned curriculum. Online-tutorials will be offered monthly, October through December. This will be available only to the teams who are registered and paid by October 1st, 2012. All other registered teams will have access when pre-workshop materials are released to all registered Botball teams in early January 2013.

Important Reuse Equipment Policy
*Returning Teams MUST REUSE all LEGO pieces from the 2012 season (this does not include the KIPR metal part set) and their Create (with charger/battery/cables).
You can find the 2012 LEGO parts list on the team home base, or download a copy here: 2012 LEGO Parts.pdf.
KIPR will warranty the Create for the season with the exception of obvious misuse, abuse or tampering.
**Teams / Organizations that are new to Botball will have to choose the New Team Option for Registration.
If a Returning Team/Organization adds another Botball team to their roster, they can do so under the Returning Team Option. The Team/Organization must advise KISS Institute that they have the necessary equipment to accompany a new team.
Botball T-Shirts
We will not be including regional t-shirts with registration for the 2013 Botball season. We will, however, produce a "globally themed" Botball T-shirt for the 2013 season. Teams will be able to pre-order t-shirts online prior to their regional tournament and a very limited number of additional t-shirts may be available for purchase at the tournament. All pre-ordered t-shirts can be picked up by teams at their regional tournament.
