Your Home Base Website

Botball® provides web hosting and important information (including technical support) through your team’s Home Base. Your Home Base gives your team access to:

  • Updates and Announcements about the tournament
  • Workshop Documentation
  • Game Rules
  • Technical Support & Frequently Asked Questions about Botball®
  • Software Downloads

Your Home Base also gives your team the opportunity to upload content for:

Logging In

Go to http://homebase.kipr.org and enter your team’s current username and password. The username is your team’s numerical code ( 03-0492, for example). Both the user name and password are case sensitive and change each Botball® season. This information is emailed to the Team Leader within two days of your team’s registration. If you have problems logging in to your team Home Base, or you’ve lost the username or password you can email support@kipr.org for assistance.

Uploading Files

In order to upload files to the webspace provided to your team, you will need to log in to the upload manager. You can find it at http://homebase.kipr.org . Use your team’s username and password to log in to upload files.

Public Website

This site is provided for teams to post information about their teams and sponsors. Consider including these items:

  • Sponsor names and/or logos
  • Team rosters
  • Team photos
  • Robot related artwork
  • A description of Botball® at your school or organization

Your public site can be accessed from a link next to your team name on your regional page (from www.botball.org, select your region from the drop down menu at the top right). This site provides a great opportunity to showcase your work to parents, sponsors and mentors. You may begin posting items as soon as your team is registered.

Research & Design Website Challenge

The R&D Website Challenge is optional and takes place in the Fall/Winter months prior to the beginning of the official Botball® season. Students are given a robotics related topic to research on the web. They post the results of their research along with any solutions they have developed on a website hosted by Botball®.

Winners may receive Travel Grants to the Global Conference on Educational Robotics or partial fee waivers for next year’s Botball® registration.

Botball® Online Project Documentation

Thoughout the Botball® competition, teams will use the Home Base to post various doucments detailing your team’s progress. Botball® Online Project Documentation activities are a required element of the Botball® program and factor in to each team’s final score at the regional tournament.
