Benefits for Educators
Botball exists to provide educators with knowledge, resources and equipment with which to foster an engaging and continuous hands-on learning environment for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) over many years. Botball is part of a long-term approach towards improvement in the way STEM areas are taught, by exposing students to an inquiry-based, learn-by-doing activity that appeals to their hearts as well as their minds.
One goal of the Botball Program is to provide the educational tools and training to support classroom instruction for the long term. We believe that educators are the key to achieving a long-term positive effect on the maximum number of students throughout the years. To that end, the Botball Program registration fee of $2300.00 includes ALL of the resources needed to make an impact on the students and school well beyond the tournament itself.
Each team’s registration fee includes:
- Professional development workshop for educators taught by industry professionals
- State-of-the-art reusable robotics equipment that can be used again and again in the classroom
- Technical support
- Entry into your Regional Botball Robot Tournament and official tournament T-shirts for your team
- Access to our curriculum website that provides explanations and activities to use with the your robotics kit after the tournament
- Opportunities to meet and exchange curriculum ideas with other educators through Botball regional events, message board, and the Global Conference on Educational Robotics
