Benefits for the Community
Botball Tournaments serve as public outreach opportunities during which we can make real robotics more accessible to the public. Our goal is also to use these public events to help increase the societal value placed on intellectual achievement, as well as provide an opportunity for the general public to learn more about various aspects of robotics.
One high school teacher reported that the excitement and energy level at the Botball competition was higher than anything he typically saw in high school students. “It was wonderful to see students getting excited about math and science, while learning so much about teamwork,” he wrote to us.
Botball addresses our nation’s need for a well-prepared, creative, yet disciplined workforce with both leadership and teamwork experience. Botball also provides community businesses an opportunity to sponsor an effective, proven educational enterprise that yields both human and public relations benefits.
